It’s not often you get to shoot wildbirds at such close quarters.
At the centre for alternative technology the birds have become pretty tame and were happy coming to the feeders whilst I was close enough to get this shot.
They didn’t seem overly bothered by the off camera flash I was using on the rather overcast and horribly wet day (you can see a couple of rain drops on the siskin here if you look closely!)
This meant that it was really easy to drop the dark background to black and catch our feathered friend’s every detail.
